Inter Milan have failed to reach the UEFA Champions League knockout stage for the second time in the last three years after an uninspiring 0-0 draw vs. Shakhtar Donetsk. ESPN FC's Steve Nicol, Frank Leboeuf, Gab Marcotti and Alejandro Moreno react to the latest failure from Antonio Conte's men. Marcotti says Conte himself is "full of excuses" and "performances matter," after the manager tried to blame the referees and Shakhtar's tactics. Moreno adds that Conte's stubbornness is a real problem for Inter after the manager waited until the final moments to introduce Alexis Sanchez and Christian Eriksen. The guys also say Alexis Sanchez's potential game-winning header being blocked by Romelu Lukaku "sums up" Inter's 2020 UCL season perfectly.
