ESPN FC's Sebastian Salazar, Julie Foudy and Kathleen McNamee reveal the top 3 women's players in the world in ESPN FC’s Women's Rank.
McNamee explains why Vivianne Miedeme is rightly placed in third, following another goalscoring record year for the striker, as she battles with Ellen White for the most goals scored in WSL history. Chelsea's Sam Kerr is placed at two following a fantastic year for Chelsea, and Foudy thinks Kerr is back to her best thanks to teammate Fran Kirby. At number one, US Women's National Team midfielder Sam Mewis wins this year’s ESPN FC’s Women's Rank. Both Foudy and McNamee praise how quickly the midfielder has settled in at Manchester City and explain why she deserves the top spot.
