On 25 September 2021, Nicoline Sorensen was dealt the toughest blow of her career so far.
The Denmark international suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), the first significant injury of her life as a footballer and, arguably, the most difficult to overcome.
What followed was 14 months of gruelling rehabilitation, with both her physical and mental strength put to the test.
In an insightful and exclusive documentary with evertontv, the 25-year-old reflects on her road to recovery that ends with her first appearance of the season against Arsenal earlier this month.
An incredibly positive character, Sorensen reveals a raw and emotional side as she recalls the key moments and figures throughout her recovery process.
She discusses the complications of her surgeries, the disappointment of being unable to represent her nation at the European Championships, the worry about her future and, ultimately, how she persevered to become a stronger person and player.
This is the story of Nico Sorensen’s comeback...
