THE NON-LEAGUE DIARIES | SQUIRES GATE FC v BURY AFC | Pre-Season Friendly
Continuing on with our Non_League diaries this Saturday Jane and I went to watch Squires Gate FC take on the newly formed football club Bury AFC. After the hell that Bury fans have been through it was nice to see them full of positivity and looking forward to their fight back up the non-league pyramid back into the Football League we wish them every success.
I once again met Albert Cooper the club photographer when he was photographer at the Sun newspaper he took an amazing photo of Brian London hear his story around that photo.
We also meet he Middle Aisle Podcast Jane's favourite podcasters its a fun listen and we had a great chat with them.
After the final whistle there are interviews with Former Blackpool Star Keigan Parker who came on in the 2nd half and with Luke Evans manager of Squires Gate FC and Andy Welsh the manager of Bury AFC.
It was a great game, containing everything that makes non-league football that extra bit special with lots of goals, crunching tackles, a missed penalty and team talks full of raw emotion. I hope you enjoy watching this and hope that you are inspired to go and watch a local non-league match near you. These guys need your support.
