Neither of Maguire or Lindelof played particularly poorly against Real Sociedad, not compared to others, but their lack of speed in every regard - movement, passing, touches and ball progression - go completely against what Ten Hag is trying to instil into this team and that is why there is such a big problem with playing them together.
What do you think Ten Hag should do with Maguire and Lindelof? He needs to be able to trust his squad this season because of how many games there are but we've seen that as a partnership, Maguire and Lindelof very much remind us all of how we played last season which is the last thing we need to be reminded of.
