In recent months, alongside creating projects to engage younger supporters, The Shots Foundation Trustees have been working to build on existing, strong relations with the local military community.

One of these initiatives coincided with the club`s annual Armistice fixture in November against Grimsby Town.

Thanks to a grant from Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, it was possible to invite eighty, local military families to attend the fixture.

Two-hundred young supporters from local schools and cadet groups also attended, whilst a souvenir programme was produced, a Reception was provided for military dignitaries and key local stakeholders.

Pre-match entertainment was provided by the Gordons School Piped Band and over a thousand pounds was donated to the Royal British Legion.

This special video to capture the occasion was created thanks to Jack Appleby.
