On this week’s Transfer Review, we discuss which team in Europe had the worst transfer window. Paris Saint-Germain had a chaotic summer, despite their success in reaching the Champions League final with captain Thiago Silva leaving for Chelsea against the wishes of Thomas Tuchel, and sporting director Leonardo making a late play to keep him at the club despite previously insisting on not giving the Brazilian a new contract. They also lost young stars Adil Aouchiche to St Etienne and Tanguy Kouassi to Bayern Munich on frees, as well as all-time top scorer Edinson Cavani and right-back Thomas Meunier, with Mauro Icardi’s arrival from Inter their only permanent outfield signing.
