Following the chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng and Prime Minister Liz Truss's so-called mini-budget, which sent the pound spiralling, interest rates rising, and almost collapsed pension funds, the United Kingdom has entered a worsening economic crisis.
No part of the British economy will be unaffected by this crisis, and that includes football clubs, which is particularly significant given that the United Kingdom is home to the Premier League, the world's richest and most watched league.
