Five years ago, Jean-Kévin Augustin was one of the exciting wonderkids in world football. He beat Kylian Mbappé to the Golden Boot and Golden Ball at the 2016 Under-19 Euros, and Lionel Messi singled him out as one of the ten best young players on the planet.
When Leeds United signed Augustin on-loan from RB Leipzig in January 2020 then, it looked as though the Championship promotion hopefuls had pulled off a real coup - not least since they beat rivals Manchester United to his signature.
