Albion were frustrated in their endeavours against Stoke City despite falling behind to Lynden Gooch's early effort, with Brandon Thomas-Asante levelling matters before the break.
The second 45 was mainly one-way traffic as the Baggies searched for a winner and they came very close on numerous occasions; Kyle Bartley having a goal ruled out for offside, Thomas-Asante being denied by City keeper Jack Bonham, before substitute Pipa found the shot-stopper in his way late on.
