Burnley Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of England U21 international James Trafford from Manchester City for an undisclosed fee.
The goalkeeper has penned a four-year deal at Turf Moor and becomes the Clarets' fourth new arrival of the summer transfer window.
Trafford has spent the last two seasons playing Sky Bet League One football with Accrington Stanley and Bolton Wanderers most recently, where he lifted the Football League Trophy and won Young Player of the Season.
The 20-year-old played an integral role for the Young Lions in the summer, keeping six clean sheets including a stoppage-time penalty save in the final to help England's U21s lift the UEFA European Championship.
