The Owls and Blades Under-18s played out an entertaining 3-3 draw at Shirecliffe on Wednesday afternoon.
In an action-packed league encounter, it was the hosts who took the lead from the penalty spot inside 10 minutes with George Dickinson converting from 12 yards.
Wednesday responded two minutes later as in-form striker Devlan Moses pounced on a low cross and finished from two yards out.
Skipper Mackenzie Maltby put the Owls ahead, firing high into the net following an impressive save from Callum Yam.
Kurtis Havenhand restored parity for the Blades after the break with a close range header from Sam Aston's cross.
Then came the goal of the afternoon from Wednesday midfielder Tafadzwa Tapudzai.
The Blades defence could only partially clear a cross from the right and Tapudzai was there on the edge of the box to strike sweetly first time into the bottom corner.
United found a leveller, though, two minutes from time as Brandon Ly tapped home from two yards out from Seth Okyere's delivery as the spoils were deservedly shared in Shirecliffe.
Owls: Charles, Phuthi, Flannery, Maltby, Weaver, Tapudzai, Trialist, Thornton, Moses, Fernandes, Johnson
