Bo Svensson’s side gets off to a flying start when Robert Glatzel scores after 25 seconds capitalizing on a mistake by USMNT defender Chris Richards, who is on loan at Hoffenheim from Bayern Munich. Richards makes up for his error in the 39th minute with a fine assist for Ihlas Bebou before Dominik Kohr restores Mainz’s lead immediately after to make it 2-1.
