Gareth Soutgate says the football world is behind Vinicius Junior after the Real Madrid star was subject to racist abuse at Valencia last week. Southgate was announcing his latest England squad, with Raheem Sterling dropped, Trent Alexander Arnold recalled and Eberichi Eze called up.

What bothers me is we have to look after people. He's injured now - what does he do about getting fit ? Don't think we should leave footballers out in the cold. He's a resilient guy with great character and well wait for him
