When Sir Jim Ratcliffe bought 27.7% of Manchester United in February, 2024, taking control of the club's football operations, it was hailed as a turning point for the Premier League giants by many in the media.
That's despite that Ratcliffe, and his company INEOS, have a very mixed record in football ownership - at OGC Nice and FC Lausanne-Sport - and beyond.
