West Ham United are making moves in the transfer market, with advanced talks underway to sign Mats Hummels on a free transfer. The 35-year-old German international, who was recently released by Borussia Dortmund, has emerged as the top candidate for the Hammers' fourth centre-back position. With concerns over Joel Matip's recovery from a serious knee injury, Hummels is Tim Steidten's preferred choice.
