Just six years ago, FC Astra Giurgiu were the best team in Romania, regulars in the Europa League, and they could name Dinamo Zagreb, Lyon, and West Ham United among their victims in the UEFA competition.
Yet now, Astra's owner is serving a five-year prison sentence, their first team has been relegated to the third tier of Romanian football, and they have lost their last two games 13-0 and 19-0.
So in this documentary, HITC Sevens takes a look at the rise and fall of Astra Giurgiu, how they have so rapidly managed to fall apart, and the broader malaise and crises afflicting football in Romania.
