Santos, the club where Neymar, Robinho, and Pelé began their careers, who have won eight Brasileirão titles and three Copa Libertadores, were just relegated for the first time in their 111 year history.
Santos' relegation has shocked the world of football, but it shouldn't have come as any surprise. Under at least four club presidents, Santos have been horribly mismanaged, experiencing a raft and crises and becoming mired in debt.
In this video, HITC Sevens charts Santos' downfall, from their golden generation in the 1960s through to their relegation, and takes a closer look at how, why, and where it all went wrong.
