He quickly rose through the junior ranks, became a star on the 7s circuit and took to international rugby seamlessly ever since he made his debut seven years ago. But, after a slight dip in form after the 2019 World Cup in Japan, changing position and with a tricky route through the latter stages of the competition, will Ioane be able to go one better than All Blacks legends Jonah Lomu and Julien Savea and break the Rugby World Cup try scoring record?
