Welcome back to Scout Report on Euro Football Daily, where we are looking at 3 players on the Continent that we thought were finished.
We start with Kieran Trippier, who raised some eyebrows after being signed by Atlético Madrid back in 2019. The Tottenham defender looked finished at the top level, and far off the pace required for life under Diego Simeone. But today he is once of the most important members in El Cholo’s squad, playing some of his best football to date.
Then we head to Germany, to see how Andre Silva has turned the disappointment of his move to AC Milan around after lighting up the Bundesliga this season. Only Robert Lewandowski and Lionel Messi have bettered his goalscoring form in 2021!
And finally we finish with Jesse Lingard, who is enjoying himself once again under the management of David Moyes at West Ham United. We look at what went wrong for the England international, and how he has resurrected his career away from Manchester United!
