The Portland Timbers score early and often in a 5-2 win vs. Cristian Pavon and the LA Galaxy. With the Galaxy once again without Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez, the Timbers piled on with a five-goal performance. Jaroslaw Niezgoda netted a first-half brace, while Diego Valeri and Eryk Williamson also got in on the scoring. Portland's Andy Polo put an exclamation point on the victory with a sensational volley that will surely be a goal-of-the-year contender.
