A day after Real Madrid was defeated by Segunda B side Alcoyano in the Copa del Rey round of 32, Barcelona got a scare of their own. Barca's Miralem Pjanic and Ousmane Dembele both miss penalties in regulation vs. Cornella and needed extra time to find the winning goals. Dembele made amends for his miss with the opener in extra time and Martin Braithwaite sealed the win with the last kick of the game.
