ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti and Julien Laurens (The Gab and Juls Show) are joined by Mark Ogden to discuss the future of Frank Lampard following Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Leicester City in the Premier League. Brendan Rodgers’ men walked away 2-0 winners thanks to goals from in-form James Maddison and Wilfred Ndidi, leaving Lampard's team with just one win in five Premier League games. Laurens believes Thomas Tuchel, who was recently sacked by PSG, would be a good option for Chelsea but can't see him joining until the summer. Ogden feels Lampard only has his next three games to turn Chelsea's form around as history would suggest owner Roman Abramovich won't be afraid to sack the Chelsea legend. Finally, Marcotti suggests the signing of Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen may be one reason Chelsea haven't sacked Lampard, he believes Lampard's preferred option would have to go big and buy West Ham's Declan Rice, but the Chelsea hierarchy decided on Havertz instead. With Chelsea's clear struggles in the defensive midfield area, Marcotti feels perhaps Abramovich is giving a little more time to Lampard.
