Atlanta United is looking for a better result, coming off a 2-0 loss to Toronto FC. With several starters out, the starting XI had a new look. Noah Cobb, Ronald Hernández, Dax McCarty and Tyler Wolff all made their first regular season starts for the 2024 season. Last Saturday's match also was the first career MLS starts for Jamal Thiaré and Nick Firmino. Recent signing Daniel Ríos also made his Atlanta United debut.
Atlanta United joined Major League Soccer in 2017 and won the 2018 MLS Cup in just its second season, the earliest an expansion team has won the title since 1998.
