Wigan Athletic Community Trust has named Orrell Holgate Academy this week's School of the Week!
Community Trust staff deliver a variety of regular sessions at the school, including PE support and teacher CPD, with the aim of encouraging pupils to enjoy physical activity, whilst developing their sport skills, as well as their confidence and social skills.
Earlier this year, Trust staff have also helped the children with their sustainability project, in partnership with telecoms company, Commhoist, in which the pupils researched their own ideas on how to create a more sustainable school, which they then presented in front of a panel of judges at the DW Stadium.
