On Thursday afternoon Latics 3PL Academy Graduates, Sam Tickle and Scott Smith paid a special visit to Wigan Athletic Community Trust's Girls' football after School Club at St John Fisher.
The girls' football after school club has seen a record high attendance since the success of the Lionesses and had over 20 girls in attendance on Thursday for Sam Tickle and Scott Smith's visit.
The pair joined in at the session, taking part in skill games, small sided matches as well as a question and answer session with the students at the end of the session.
Fresh from his league debut on Monday, speaking at the session Sam Tickle said:
“I've been playing football with the year seven, eight and nine girls.
“It's been good to see the girls having smiles on their faces playing footie. It's a Community Club so it's good to a part of it and get out into the Community.”
“Been a busy week obviously (playing on) Monday, but no it's good to come out into the Community and see them play footie. It's good to see them cheering us on at games as well.”
