Wigan Athletic Community Trust has named St Cuthbert's Catholic Primary School, this week's School of the Week!
Community Trust staff deliver regular sessions at the school, including PE support, teacher CPD and extracurricular activities, with the aim of helping pupils develop their confidence, physical literacy, and teamwork while staying physically active.
At a visit to the School, St Cuthbert's PE lead, Mr Forrest, said:
“Wigan Athletic have been brilliant. They come in here and deliver our sessions for us; they work really well with the children, helping the staff, helping the teaching assistants, getting them involved, getting them immersed in PE sessions.
“They encourage everyone to take part and participate and be active.
