Taken over by one of the richest men in Poland in 2007 and implicated in a massive corruption scandal six months later, four-time Polish champions RTS Widzew Łódź, who famously knocked Manchester United and Liverpool out of European competitions in the early 1980s, were declared bankrupt in 2015.
Undeterred, the club's famously passionate and numerous supporters rallied around and ensured that Widzew survived - re-starting as an amateur fan-owned club in Poland's fifth tier.
Eight years and four promotions on, HITC Sevens takes a look at the extraordinary history of Widzew Łódź and their resurgence, now that the club is third in the Ekstraklasa table.
