🎥⚽ Match Highlights: Catch all the action from a huge cup win at Horley Town! 🌟🥅
See all the highlights from our Surrey Senior Cup First Round tie against Horley Town. It was a lively start and Daniel had two chances well saved early on in the game. Tangara then found Pierrick with a long throw after claiming a corner, and the skipper galloped through Horley Town's half before calmly finding the bottom corner to take the lead. Dotse missed a glorious chance to consolidate the lead, firing wide when he should have tested the keeper. Horley Town equalised directly from a free kick that ghosted through a sea of legs and found its way into the far corner. We quickly restored our lead as Daniel did excellently to make some space and find Pierrick as he drove to the byline and thundered a shot past the keeper at the near post. We were again pegged back by a lovely goal from the home side, as Seagroatt powered a diving header past Tangara. The second half began with a couple of half-chances for Croydon Athletic before Pierrick picked the ball up on the left wing and burst past the Horley defence and powered a shot in at the far post for his hattrick. The home side kept pressing for another equaliser and were denied by an incredible stop by Tangara, however, the next goal was from who else but captain fantastic Pierrick. He picked the ball up on the edge of the box, put a defender on the floor as he cut inside, and buried the finish past the keeper for his FOURTH of the night. And with that we are through to the next round of the cup thanks to a world-beating performance from our captain!
