Geo discusses the news that Kalvin Phillips has joined West Ham United on loan from Manchester City for the remainder of the season
West Ham United is delighted to confirm the signing of England midfielder Kalvin Phillips on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season.
The 28-year-old joins the Hammers from Manchester City and could make his debut in Thursday's Premier League fixture with AFC Bournemouth at London Stadium.
Capped 31 times by England, Phillips started every game as the Three Lions reached the final of UEFA Euro 2020 and appeared at the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals.
At club level, he led his boyhood club Leeds United to the Premier League before transferring to Manchester City in summer 2022 and winning the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup last year.
With West Ham challenging for European qualification and through to the UEFA Europa League round of 16, and a UEFA European Championship finals to target with England this coming summer, Phillips has huge motivation to produce his very best in a Claret and Blue shirt.
