Kevin Molino scored a goal on each side of halftime to lead Minnesota United to a 3-0 win over the Colorado Rapids in a Western Conference first-round match of the MLS Cup playoffs. Emanuel Reynoso assisted on both Molino goals and also provided an assist on Robin Lod's goal, the second of the night for the home side. The fourth-seeded Loons, in their second consecutive postseason appearance after being eliminated in the first round last year, advanced to play Sporting Kansas City, the top seed in the Western Conference. SKC needed penalty kicks to eliminate stubborn San Jose. That conference semifinal will take place Dec. 1 or 2 at Kansas City.
