York City were held to a 1-1 home draw by Dagenham & Redbridge at the LNER Community Stadium.

On the back of a deserved win against Torquay United, the Minstermen went in search of another home victory which would see them move into fourth in the Vanarama National League table.

But it was Dagenham who opened the scoring through Mo Sagaf in the 26th minute.

After numerous York chances, it was centre-back Sam Sanders who levelled the scoring with just over five minutes to go.

York City (4-3-3): Ross; Fallowfield, Kouogun, Sanders, Whittle; Dyson, Pybus, Mafuta (Thomas, 75’); Kouhyar, John-Lewis, Hurst
