Comedian Mark Smith is joined by Football365 Editor Sarah Winterburn for this week’s edition of Big Weekend, in association with Paddy Power.
Liverpool struggle when taking the ‘weaker’ sides in the Premier League, so Sarah thinks Jurgen Klopp will enjoy facing a Manchester City side who have won nine in a row and have only conceded a solitary goal to Cheltenham in that time…
There was nine solitary goals for Manchester United midweek, in their second ever 9-0 Premier League win, what can they do against an Everton side who always look better when they don’t play bogey side Newcastle…
A few clubs may have felt unjustly refereed after the midweek matches, one of them, Arsenal, travel to an Aston Villa side who are going great guns, but who are playing every couple of days…
It took Southampton three, albeit tough, games to get a win after losing 9-0 last season. How will they get on against a Newcastle side who were excellent against Everton and then were not excellent in the week.
And finally Leeds host Crystal Palace, with Roy Hodgson having gone all guns blazing recently, will Leeds pick up another win to keep themselves ticking over, and if Patrick Bamford deserving of an England call up?
So with Liverpool and Man City easily the game of the weekend, both Man Utd and Southampton at different ends of 9 goals, Arsenal feeling aggrieved and Bamford looking to impress Gareth Southgate, it looks like a Big Weekend to us.
