Napoli thought they had all three points, but a stoppage-time penalty ensures Sassuolo finish with a share of the points. The sides traded goals, but a 90th-minute penalty converted by Lorenzo Insigne appeared to be the winner until Kostas Manolas conceded a penalty in the fifth minute of stoppage time. That penalty was scored by Francesco Caputo as Napoli stay sixth and Sassuolo go eighth in Serie A.
