The Minstermen secured a National League North playoff semi-final spot after securing a 2-1 win over Chorley.
Lenell John-Lewis handed York the lead after only ten minutes, lobbing the goalkeeper from the edge of the area, but City went into the break level with Chorley after Connor Hall found his side an equaliser fifteen minutes after going behind.
The game was settled early in the second-half though as Mitch Hancox's goal four minutes after the restart was enough for City as they secured a playoff semi-final tie against Brackely Town.
