West Ham United came away with a point in a lively 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, but it took a man-of-the-match display from Lukasz Fabianski to keep the Hammers in the game.
Lucas Paquetá's 87th-minute penalty looked to have secured all three points after referee Chris Kavanagh awarded the spot-kick following a VAR review for handball against Tyler Adams. However, Bournemouth substitute Enes Ünal struck late with a dipping free-kick in the 90th minute to ensure the spoils were shared.
Despite the disappointment of conceding late, Julen Lopetegui's side looked much improved – but questions remain about West Ham's ability to close games out.
