Heung-min Son is the latest big name to criticise the number of matches and the expansion of European competitions with the Tottenham striker agreeing with Rodri's comments. The Manchester City midfielder had proposed players should go on strike in order to make a stand.
TIMESTAMPS:
00 It would be a dream to captain Tottenham to a European trophy
35 A lot of players have come out and said the right things in terms of number of games. Sometimes players are the main guys to have to say something. You want to see quality in football matches and not players struggling with injury.
09 We love playing football but do you know how much travelling etc is involved? It's a lot! City played Sunday and Tuesday! It's not flexible. High risk of injury, it's not fair. Rodri said all the right things.
36 You want to play a lot of games. But the platform, changing the format is not right in terms of looking after the players. We can definitely change it by making a stand.
30 It's not the players who need to go on strike. It needs looking at really seriously. There are way too many games. You want high quality games with top players.
47 We haven't spoken about a new contract. I'm very focused for this season, every second at this age is golden. I have to take even more care of myself. I'm so focused on this season. You never know what will happen in the future.
16 You want to help the younger players. Give advice. Everyone changes so much in 10 years. I want to be a good professional for the younger players to look up to.
42 I have a role in mentoring Mikey Moore. He's from the academy so you want to look after him even more. Coming into the first team at this age is not easy but he's working hard and showing great personality.
48 You have to adapt to the manager's system. It doesn't mean I have to stay wide all the time. I can cut inside and make runs. Deki likes to come more into the middle, he can handle the ball really well. He's having a great season so far. His work rate is unbelievable.
47 I love Bentancur. We have lots of good memories. He apologised straight afterwards. I didn't even realise but he sent me a long message. He felt really sorry for what happened. We are all human and make mistakes. I have no problem at all. We move on as team mates and friends.
