Christian Eriksen was superb in his short Manchester United debut but it ended in a 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid. Erik ten Hag will be pretty happy overall with how much control Man United exerted on the game after a shaky opening 5 minutes and if our finishing was slightly better we'd have come away with a better result but the fact we controlled the majority of the game was a good thing.
Remember, back in March we were embarrassed and outfought all over the pitch against Atletico Madrid and although it is pre-season, it is a good show that United are heading in the right direction under Ten Hag...even if we did come out with a 1-0 defeat.
Still lots to work on and today really did show that United will likely lack that quality in terms of squad depth this season.
