In an otherwise eventless performance from Chelsea, Tammy Abraham scored an easy tap-in that had the looks of being offside, although VAR was not available at the stadium to intervene. Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga made a rare start for the Blues, and made a couple nice saves but had a few moments of indecision that Barnsley failed to capitalize on. Chelsea move on in the FA Cup to face Sheffield United in the next round.
