Union Berlin and Hoffenheim draw 1-1 in the Bundesliga after Pavel Kaderabek’s 82nd minute goal was ruled offside by VAR. Max Kruse opened the scoring for Union Berlin from the penalty spot within the first 10 minutes to give Union a brilliant start. However, their lead was cut following Nico Schlotterbeck’s own goal in the 29th minute. The draw keeps Union just outside the Europa League places while Hoffenheim remain 11th.
