Everton’s US goalkeeping great Tim Howard will be a special live guest on our day-long fan festival Everton USA Live this Saturday.
The former shot-stopper, who made 414 appearances for the Blues during 10 years at Goodison and earned 121 caps for the USA, will join Toffees midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure and Director of Football Marcel Brands – among many other familiar faces - for a celebration with Evertonians in North America.
Everton has teamed up with loyal supporters in the United States to create Everton USA Live, a digital fan experience where Blues from across North America can come together to toast their love for Everton.
Taking place on Saturday 17 April, 8am Pacific Time, 10am Central or 11am Eastern (4pm UK time), the day-long fan festival will feature exclusive interviews and live Q&As with Everton’s players and coaching staff, some familiar American former players and supporters as well as an interactive Everton quiz offering money-can’t-buy prizes.
That will include US soccer legend Howard, who will join fans for an hour at 10am Pacific Time, 12pm Central or 1pm Eastern (6pm UK time) for a live Q&A with supporters, while discussing his love for the Blues, the secrets of his Toffees teammates, his all-time XI – and a watchalong of the 2009 FA Cup semi-final penalty shootout success against Manchester United.
Blues midfielder Doucoure will be a live guest from 9.30am Pacific Time, 11.30am Central or 12.30pm Eastern (5.30pm UK time). The Frenchman has been a huge hit since joining Everton from Watford last summer, and Doucoure will answer fans' questions, as well as give an update on his rehabilitation from a foot injury.
Brands, meanwhile, will join the event an hour earlier at 4.30pm UK time and will also interact with Evertonians in a live Q&A.
The event has seen the Club’s Fan Engagement, International and Communications teams, as well as the Everton Fans' Forum, work alongside the growing Everton Supporters’ Club network in North America and will give US fans the chance to learn more about and get even closer to their Club.
The event is open to all supporters based in the USA and Canada, while members of Everton’s Affiliated Supporters’ Clubs based in North America have the chance to be part of a Fan Wall which will act as the exclusive audience for the event. The registration window for this has now passed.
