Everton Under-21 were held to a 2-2 draw by Cardiff City in the Premier League Cup at Walton Hall Park on Friday night.
Luke Butterfield opened the scoring in style with only two minutes on the clock. The midfielder elegantly curled the ball in to the top left corner to finish off a classy team move and give the Blues an early lead.
On 67 minutes, Charlie Whitaker doubled the hosts' lead from the spot five minutes after coming off the bench, but the visitors levelled through Morgan Wigley and Trey George.
